Tyler Leon

Tyler Leon Managing Partner & Co-Founder 

Tyler Leon is co-founder of Tilden Capital.  He is responsible for overseeing all of Tilden Capital’s investments.  Since Tilden’s inception, Tyler has led or been involved in acquiring $600 million worth of minerals and royalties in the Permian Basin.   Prior to co-founding Tilden Capital, Tyler managed legacy oil and gas assets for KWL Minerals and Sparkman Energy.  Those assets ranged from conventional oil and gas operations, non-operated working interests, and minerals.   Tyler received a B.S. in Economics from Oklahoma State University where he was a member of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship Team.

Trent Leon

Trent Leon Managing Partner & Co-Founder 

Trent Leon is a Managing Partner at Tilden Capital. He oversees all aspects of Business Development.  He focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and evaluating mineral and royalty opportunities. Over his career, Trent has been a key part of over 250 transactions in the Permian Basin. Prior to co-founding Tilden Capital, Trent was involved in managing legacy oil and gas assets for KWL Minerals and Sparkman Energy.  Those assets included conventional oil and gas operations, non-operated working interests, and minerals.  Trent received a B.S. in Economics at Oklahoma State University, where he was an Academic All-American and a member of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship Team.

William Malloy

William Malloy  Managing Partner & Co-Founder 

William is the head of land at Tilden Capital.  He is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner.  Mr. Malloy has over 10 years’ experience in land and project management positions focusing on emerging resource plays in various basins across the US.    His responsibilities at Tilden Capital include management of prospect data, acquisition due-diligence and he oversees the title department.  He also manages all assets post-acquisition.  Since the inception of Tilden Capital, he has managed the acquisition of 300+ deals totaling over $600MM. Mr. Malloy is a Registered Professional Landman with the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and received his Land Management certification from TCU.

Courtney Lackey

Courtney Lackey Chief Financial Officer

Courtney Lackey is the Chief Financial Officer for Tilden Capital. Her responsibilities include overseeing the financial aspects of Tilden Capital’s investment activities. Courtney is also the head of financial reporting and is responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with various service providers. Prior to joining Tilden Capital, Courtney was a Senior Manager at KPMG, LLC, a global business accounting and advisory firm. During her time at KPMG, Courtney managed the audit for a billion-dollar global private equity firm. Courtney received her BBA in Accounting and Finance from Texas Christian University and a MS in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.      

Ed Hutchinson  Controller 

Ed Hutchinson is the controller of Tilden Capital.  His responsibilities include overseeing and managing Tilden’s oil and gas assets and revenue reporting.  He joined Tilden Capital in 2018.  Originally from Tennessee, Ed is a huge fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.  He completed his BBA in Accounting with a collateral in Information Systems from the University of Tennessee and a MS in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington. 

Kevin Jones  Vice President of Engineering

Kevin Jones is head of engineering at Tilden Capital. He is responsible for economic evaluation of oilfield properties before acquisition and managing data and economics post acquisition. He joined Tilden capital in March of 2022 and prior to that was senior engineer at Pioneer Natural Resources where he had experience in multiple basins across the country including Permian, Eagleford, Raton, and West Pan. Kevin received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines where he graduated Cum Laude.

Chase Guidry Vice President of Land 

Chase serves as Vice President of Land at Tilden Capital.  Chase has over 19 years of experience as a Landman focusing on resource plays in Texas,  Louisiana, Wyoming, and North Dakota.  Prior to joining Tilden Capital in 2022, he was a Staff Landman at Aethon Energy Management LLC where he managed the day-to-day land duties associated with rig program in the company’s East Texas Haynesville Shale position, along with the management of company assets located within Wyoming’s Powder River and Wind River Basins. Over the course of his career, Chase has managed the due diligence aspect of acquisitions of +250,000 acres valued in excess of $2.5 Billion.  Chase is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Peter Pane

Peter Pane Vice President of Acquisitions 

Peter Pane is Vice President of Acquisitions at Tilden Capital. Peter joined Tilden Capital in May 2015 as an intern before joining the team full time in May 2017. His responsibilities include locating advantageous acquisition opportunities, negotiating with potential sellers, and managing closings. Since joining Tilden Capital Peter has been a key component in sourcing over 300 mineral and royalty acquisitions. Mr. Pane received his B.S. in Economics at Texas Christian University.

Max Berg  Vice President of Acquisitions 

Max Berg is a part of the acquisitions team at Tilden Capital. Max joined Tilden Capital in May of 2018 as an intern before joining full time in May of 2021. His responsibilities include sourcing mineral and royalty deals, leasehold opportunities, and establishing financial deals with sellers. Max graduated from TCU with a B.S in Communication and minor in Energy Technology and Management.
